Good afternoon to you all, in another Briefing which finds us stuck in a sort of COVID limbo, with no changes to restrictions in place or travel restrictions, although the free Rapid Antigen Tests will continue through April as you will see below.

There is however good news about a new satellite office for Members west of Portimão, the increased AUTOVoucher discount has been continued for April and further to last week´s mailing, we now have a new, slimmer, government in place.

The conflict in Ukraine continues, so please bear in mind the ways in which you can offer help which we have highlighted in previous mailings and which we also have on the afpop website in the Community area.

Situation of Alert
As previously mentioned, the Situation of Alert throughout mainland Portugal remains in force until 23h59 on the 18th of April 2022 with no alterations.

The measures that are in force are HEREhttps://afpop.com/en/afpop-latest-news-1?aid=173&bx=1

Travel
No new travel law has been published yet and therefore it will remain unaltered until further notice.
You can find more information HEREhttps://afpop.com/en/afpop-latest-news-1?aid=179&bx=1

Azores
The earthquake prevention plan is still active, and the Civil Protection advises against all but essential travel to the island of São Jorge. Here is a link to the earthquake information and surveillance centre CIVISA (Centro de Informação e Vigilância Sismovulcânica dos Açores), where you can see the earthquake activity:

Free Rapid antigen tests (TRAg)
The Ministry of Health announced that the rapid antigen tests (TRAg) carried out in pharmacies and laboratories that are part of the exceptional reimbursement scheme will continue to be free of charge in April 2022 for residents in Portugal. Rapid antigen testing for COVID-19 will be reimbursed at 100% for residents in Portugal. The contribution is limited to a maximum of two tests per month/1 per week per user.

Satellite offices
The April Satellite Office in Almancil will be on Tuesday 26th of April in the MEDAL office. The Satellite will be open between 10h00 and 12h30 for Members who would like to speak with a staff member in person. As the MEDAL office waiting space is limited, please reserve a time in advance and we ask that you arrive promptly to avoid congestion. There is a coffee shop across the road from the MEDAL office if the reception area is full when you arrive.

We are pleased to inform Members in the Lagos area, that we have been offered the use of an office in the premises of MediLagos on R. José Ferreira Canelas, which is behind the Câmara building. The Satellite will be open on Thursday 28th of April between 10h00- 12h30.
Please contact the afpop office to reserve an appointment.

Office visits
The afpop office is open to visitors, however to avoid congestion in the reception area, I ask that if possible Members book an appointment prior to their visit by email info@afpop.com or telephone 282 458 509. We look forward to welcoming you.
